Coach Chip Sodemann is Leaving Washington

It's been revealed that after three years as the Varsity Basketball Coach at Washington High School Chip Sodemann will leave the district to take the reigns as coach of the new Wentzville-Liberty High School program. The Wentzville School Board will meet Tuesday night to vote on the contract. Washington officials say they are unable to comment on the move until after that meeting. Washington will now have two vacancies to fill as Assistant Coach Josh Hall is also leaving the program. Coach Sodemann leaves Washington with a record of 41-37.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Seth Schenck. The New Haven Junior won the state title in the the 800 meter run at Lincoln University in Jefferson City. Seth also took second in the 1600 meter run and anchored the 4X800 relay team that captured seventh place. Seth also played basketball and ran cross country in his junior year at New Haven. He is also a very good student.
