Cards Fall To Mets

The Cardinals walked in two during the fourth inning and surrendered a solo shot in the sixth to give the Mets a 3-1 win at Citi Field. Michael Wacha struck out 10, but only made it through four innings and gave up two runs to drop to 2-and-2. Matt Carpenter had four hits and Yadier Molina drove the teams lone run. St. Louis drops to 12-and-10 with the loss.

The Cardinals and Mets close out their four-game series at Citi Field this afternoon. Lance Lynn puts his 4-and-0 mark on the line against New York's Bartolo Colon, who is 1-and-3. First pitch is at 12:10 p.m. The Cards return home to host the Pirates starting tomorrow.

After a season opening loss to Washington, Allison has helped St. Clair win four straight, which included the Clayton Tournament Championship. Allison is currently averaging more than 12 points and eight rebounds per game. She is sporting a 35% shooting percentage, hitting 36% on two's and 28% on three's.

Saint Louis freshman Milik Yarbrough posted his first-career double-double as the Billikens knocked off Vermont 58-55 Sunday afternoon at Chaifetz Arena. It was the third win in a row for the Billikens, who improve their overall record to 8-4 and their home record to 6-2. Vermont, which has advanced to the postseason the last six years, falls to 5-6.
