Cards Double Up Brewers

Matt Holliday singled in a pair of runs in the opening inning to help the Cardinals beat the Brewers, 4-2, at Busch Stadium. Yadier Molina went 3-for-4 with an RBI and Matt Carpenter doubled in a run to help St. Louis get back above .500 for the first time since Opening Day. Lance Lynn tossed five innings of one-run ball to pick up the win and Trevor Rosenthal closed it out for his third save.

The Cardinals and Brewers close out their three-game series with a day game today. John Lackey is slated to start for St. Louis, while Mike Fiers takes the hill for Milwaukee. First pitch is at 12:45 p.m. After today, the Cards host the Reds for three games starting tomorrow.
