Cards Crush Phillies

Shane Robinson hit a three-run triple and Matt Adams also plated three runs as the Cardinals crushed the Phillies 11-3 in the middle of a three-game series at Busch Stadium. Yadier Molina went 3-for-5 with an RBI and two runs scored for the Redbirds, who have won three in-a-row. Jake Westbrook allowed three runs in seven frames as he improved to 7-and-4 with the victory. The Cards and Phils end the series tonight.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Senior Golfer Brad Carpenter from Washington High School. In a recent match against Fort Zumwalt South at Wolf Hollow, Brad carded a six under par 29 to lead the team to a 148-176 win over the Bulldogs. Brad will attend Missouri State University in Springfield on a golf and academic scholarship. He started playing golf at the age of 12 and developed an immediate love for the game.
