Cards Close Set With Crew

The Cardinals and Brewers close out their three-game series from Busch Stadium this afternoon. Shelby Miller takes a 2-and-2 record to the mound for the Redbirds. Milwaukee counters with Matt Garza, who is 1-and-2. First pitch is set for 12:45.

The Brewers plated a run in the top of the 11th to edge the Cardinals 5-4 last night at Busch Stadium. Yadier Molina hit a three-run homer and Allen Craig tripled in a run for St. Louis. Kevin Siegrist took the loss after starter Lance Lynn threw five innings of three-run ball.

Cardinals youngster Randall Grichuk made his first start last night, playing in center field and batting seventh. Grichuk went 1-for-5 but struck out three times in the loss. He was recalled along with Greg Garcia earlier this week from Triple-A Memphis.
