A chopper up the middle by Ryan Zimmerman denied the Cards their 11th no-hitter in franchise history. Wacha ended up allowing the one hit and two walks while striking out nine in eight-and-two-thirds innings as he improved to 4-and-1. Trevor Rosenthal recorded the final out for his second save.
