Cards Bats Quiet In Loss To Twins

The Cardinals managed just two hits in a 7-0 loss to the Twins yesterday in Jupiter. Lance Lynn gave up two earned runs in two-and-a-third innings in the start. Jason Motte allowed two runs in one frame of work in relief. The Cardinals have the day off before playing the Marlins tomorrow in Jupiter.

The Cardinals will be without shortstop Raphael Furcal for the near future. The veteran is expected to visit with Dr. James Andrews tomorrow regarding his ailing right elbow according to general manager John Mozeliak. Furcal suffered a torn ligament in the elbow on August 30th, but doctors didn't feel surgery was needed for the injury.
