Cardinals Receive Payout From Playoffs

The Cardinals have received a payout of $7.8-million in postseason revenue for their playoff run this season. The team voted to award 56 full shares to players which works out to over 122-thousand-dollars each. The Giants, who beat St. Louis in the NLCS, took in a payout of $23.5-million which broke the record set by the 2006 World Series champion Cardinals.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Senior Swimmer Michael Matthews from St. Francis Borgia Regional High School in Washington. Michael medalled in two events at the state swim meet at the St. Peters Rec-Plex. He took 7th in the 50-Yard Freestyle and 4th in the 100-Yard Butterfly. Michael also medalled in four events in the AAA Conference meet, helping Borgia secure the conference title.
