Cardinals Host Braves Tonight

The Cardinals continue their homestand tonight as the Atlanta Braves come to town. Lance Lynn takes the mound for St. Louis in the opener of the three-game series. He's 4-and-2 with a 3.83 ERA. The Braves counter with Ervin Santana, who is 4-and-0 with a 1.99 ERA thus far.

Pitcher Michael Wacha singled in two runs in a four-run second inning and the Cardinals held on to beat the Cubs 5-3 at Busch Stadium. Wacha pitched seven innings of two-run ball for his third win and Trevor Rosenthal got the final five outs to notch his 11th save.

What happened? It's a classic case of two all-too-common phenomena in the world of government--unintended consequences and the revolving door.
