Cardinals Double Up Dodgers

Joe Kelly tossed seven innings of one-run ball as the Cardinals dropped the Dodgers 4-2 at Busch Stadium. Kelly improved to 2-and-1 while Matt Adams hit a two-run homer, and Matt Holliday added a two-run single. Holliday left the game in the fifth with a head injury. Trevor Rosenthal locked up his 30th save for St. Louis, which has won four of its last five. Zack Greinke was tagged for four runs in five-and-two-thirds innings, falling to 11-and-6 for Los Angeles. Dee Gordon went 3-for-4 while Carl Crawford and Hanley Ramirez each drove in a run in defeat. Yasiel Puig left the game with a hand injury in the eighth as the Dodgers lost their third in five games.

The shootings at Emmanuel AME Church in Charleston, South Carolina, however, stands out for two main reasons.

It involved race, and it was done it a church.
