Cardinals At Dodgers Tonight

After a day off on Thursday, the Cardinals resume their three-city road trip tonight in Los Angeles. The Redbirds play the first of a three-game series against the Dodgers at Chavez Ravine. Lance Lynn goes after win number-seven as he opposes LA's Chris Capuano. The Cards opened the road swing by taking two-of-three in San Diego.

The Cardinals will run into old friend Skip Schumaker tonight. The former Cardinals utilityman is now part of the 200-milion-dollar-plus payroll of the Dodgers. He says their situation is not as bad as it seems. Noting that there's been a lot of heat from the media, Schumaker says the Dodgers will be okay once they get all their players back healthy.

August 9, 2014, will forever be marked in the history books as the date Michael Brown was shot by a Ferguson police officer.

It is the aftermath of that event, however, which history will forever remember. The protesters, the looters, the agitators, the Hands Up Don't Shoot movement, the dramatic announcement of the grand jury, the buildings up in flames. In the process, the community and image of Ferguson was destroyed.
