Cardinals Clip Pirates

Trevor Rosenthal hung tough in the bottom of the ninth to lock up the Cardinals' 6-5 win over the Pirates at PNC Park. Jordy Mercer hit a roller back to Rosenthal to start a double play to end the game. It's his 10th save. Allen Craig went 2-for-4 with a run and an RBI for St. Louis, which salvaged the finale of the three-game series. Shelby Miller gave up two runs in five-and-a-third innings for his fifth win.

He's given up seven runs, three earned over 36 innings and his ERA is .736. As a hitter, Spencer's average is .500 with 14 rbi's and 11 runs scored. In 44 official at bats, Spencer has struck out just five times with two walks.

The shootings at Emmanuel AME Church in Charleston, South Carolina, however, stands out for two main reasons.

It involved race, and it was done it a church.
