Brewers Cut Down Cards Behind Peralta

Wily Peralta pitched one-run ball into the seventh inning as the Brewers beat the Cardinals 5-1 at Miller Park. Peralta allowed six hits and a walk over six and a third innings to improve to 2-and-0 with the win. Aramis Ramirez went 3-for-4 with an RBI and Jonathan Lucroy singled home two runs for Milwaukee, which salvaged the finale of the three-game series. Joe Kelly gave up just an unearned run in four innings, but took the loss. He left in the fifth when he pulled up lame trying to run out a bunt.
