Braves Ground Cardinals

Mike Minor tossed seven innings of one-run ball to lead the Braves in a 4-1 victory over the Cardinals at Turner Field. Minor also knocked in a run at the plate as he improved to 10-and-5. Jason Heyward hit a solo homer and Chris Johnson was 2-for-3 with an RBI for Atlanta, which has won three out of five. Craig Kimbrel locked down his 29th save in the ninth. Yadier Molina's solo homer in the second was all St. Louis could muster offensively. Adam Wainwright struck out eight but gave up four runs, three earned, over seven frames to fall to 13-and-6. The Cards saw a four-game winning streak end.
