Blues Sign Mueller

The Blues signed 26-year-old center Peter Mueller to a one-year, two-way contract yesterday. Mueller was selected eighth overall by the Arizona Coyotes in 2006 and scored 54 points in his rookie season. However a career plagued by injuries led to him playing for three different NHL teams in six seasons and most recently a season with the Swiss club, the Kloten Flyers. Mueller recorded 46 points in 49 games for the Flyers last season.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Freshman Cross Country Runner Julia McIntyre from New Haven High School. Julia finished sixth in the state meet in Jefferson City with a time of 20:58.40 at the Oak Hills Golf Course in Jefferson City earlier this month. She helped her team to a 12th place finish. Julia was a straight A student at Franklin County R-2 and she continues to get A's in high school.

Troy Brouwer and Robby Fabbri each scored third period goals to help the Blues rally to sink the Sabres 2-1 at the First Niagara Center. Jake Allen stopped 24 of 25 shots for St. Louis, which improved to 14-6-and-2. The Blues play at Pittsburgh tomorrow.
