Blues' Halak Re-Injures Groin

The St. Louis Blues will continue to be without goalie Jaroslav Halak. The netminder re-injured his groin during warmups before Monday's 4-1 home loss to the Los Angeles Kings. Halak had been activated from injured reserve on Sunday in preparation for the start. Head coach Ken Hitchcock said after yesterday's practice that Halak is listed as day-to-day. The 27-year-old is 3-and-0 with two shutouts and a 2.10 goals-against-average in five games this season. The Blues begin a three-game road trip today in Detroit.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is 6-0 Senior Forward Megan Jensen with the St. Francis Borgia Girls Basketball Team. Megan scored 24 points leading Borgia to a 52-47 win over Cardinal Ritter in the championship game of the Borgia/Competitive Edge Tournament Saturday afternoon. In three tournament games last week. Megan scored 63 points and earned MVP honors.

The Blues begin a two-game swing through Florida tomorrow night against the Panthers. St. Louis will also skate at Tampa Bay on Sunday. The Blues lost 2-1 to the Jets in a shootout on Tuesday and are third in the Central Division with 69 points. Florida leads the Atlantic with 70 points.
