Blues Dim Stars

Brian Elliott made 34 saves to lead the Blues in a 6-1 win over the Stars at the Scottrade Center. T.J. Oshie had a goal and an assist while David Backes and Vladimir Sobotka also scored. St. Louis also got goals from Derek Roy, Chris Stewart and Vladimir Tarasenko to grab its third straight win. Brenden Dillon had the lone goal for Dallas in defeat. Kari Lehtonen gave up five goals on 18 shots before giving way to Dan Ellis. The Stars have lost two straight since a three-game winning streak.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Freshman Cross Country Runner Julia McIntyre from New Haven High School. Julia finished sixth in the state meet in Jefferson City with a time of 20:58.40 at the Oak Hills Golf Course in Jefferson City earlier this month. She helped her team to a 12th place finish. Julia was a straight A student at Franklin County R-2 and she continues to get A's in high school.

Troy Brouwer and Robby Fabbri each scored third period goals to help the Blues rally to sink the Sabres 2-1 at the First Niagara Center. Jake Allen stopped 24 of 25 shots for St. Louis, which improved to 14-6-and-2. The Blues play at Pittsburgh tomorrow.
