Blues At Canucks Tonight

The Blues open a three-game road trip tonight in Vancouver. St. Louis is riding a three-game winning streak and has won five of its last six games overall. The Blues are 16-10-and-2 on the season with 34 points, one ahead of third-place Detroit in the Central Division. The Canucks lost to the Minnesota Wild at home last night.

The Blues expect to have Andy McDonald in the lineup tonight against the Canucks. He made the trip to Vancouver with the rest of the team on Monday. The 35-year-old has missed 10 games since colliding with teammate Vladimir Sobotka in practice on February 26th. McDonald has three goals and eight assists this season.

ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Union Senior Bethany Coons. Bethany finished the basketball season at Union averaging 11 points and eight assists per game. Coach Dusty Weiskopf says Bethany is good at handling the basketball and teams would find it difficult to press Union when Bethany was in the game because of her lateral movement. When combining her scoring and assist averages, Bethany was contributing about 25 points per game.
