Charlie Coyle scored the eventual game-winner 38 seconds into the third period as the Wild defeated the Blues 3-1 in St. Paul. Jaden Schwartz scored shorthanded midway through the final period for St. Louis, which dipped to 2-and-2. Brian Elliott and Jaroslav Halak combined to stop 20-of-23 shots. The Blues and Wild end the preseason tomorrow at the Scottrade Center.

The shootings at Emmanuel AME Church in Charleston, South Carolina, however, stands out for two main reasons.

It involved race, and it was done it a church.
