Washington High Improvements Planned

The Washington School Board has approved major upgrades to the athletic field and track at the high school. The action was taken last night to move forward with the installation of artificial turf and the construction of a new track. The project will also include new lights, a sidewalk and fence around the entire stadium, new visitors bleachers and improved handicapped accessibility. Total price tag is two-point-three-two-five-million dollars. Work is scheduled to begin next week. Athletic Director Bill Deckelman says it will be tight, but they hope to have the project finished by the first home football game September 6th.

My youngest has now graduated from high school. Back in 1980, I was the youngest of my family who graduated.
