U.S. Tops World At Futures Game

Matt Davidson crushed a go-ahead two-run homer in the fourth inning to power the U.S. past the World 4-2 in the Futures Game from Citi Field. The Arizona Diamondbacks prospect was named the MVP as the U.S. side won its fourth straight over the World. Kolten Wong of the St. Louis Cardinals was 1-for-2 with a steal for the Americans. Arismendy Alcantara from the Chicago Cubs system lifted a solo homer in defeat.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Freshman Cross Country Runner Julia McIntyre from New Haven High School. Julia finished sixth in the state meet in Jefferson City with a time of 20:58.40 at the Oak Hills Golf Course in Jefferson City earlier this month. She helped her team to a 12th place finish. Julia was a straight A student at Franklin County R-2 and she continues to get A's in high school.

Andy Dalton tossed three touchdowns, including two to A.J. Green as the Bengals bashed the Rams, 31-7 at Paul Brown Stadium. Dalton hit Green for scores in the first and third quarters, and threw one to Tyler Eifert in the second for the 9-and-2 Bengals. Leon Hall had a 19-yard pick-six as Cincinnati intercepted Nick Foles three times in the win. Foles threw for 228 yards in the Rams' fourth straight loss.
