Rob Loe scored 20 points on a perfect 7-of-7 from the field, including 3-of-3 from beyond the arc, to lead No. 16 Saint Louis to a 78-54 win over La Salle. Kwamain Mitchell had 19 points and Dwayne Evans registered 16 points and a game-high 17 rebounds for the Billikens (24-6, 13-3 A-10), who have clinched at least a share of the Atlantic 10 regular-season title. They can win the title outright if Virginia Commonwealth loses at Temple on Sunday. Tyrone Garland had a team-high 15 points. Tyreek Duren and Sam Mills scored 13 and 12 points, respectively, for the Explorers (21-8, 11-5), who came into the game on a three-game winning
streak.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Senior Volleyball Player Jordan Kriete from St. Francis Borgia Regional High School in Washington. Jordan played all the way around on a team that finished the season 26-7-2. Her statistics are impressive.

When people threaten violence or blankly label one as a racist, it's very hard to listen. The same holds true for those who sum up the plight of impoverished black communities as "that's how those people are."

The St. Louis Cardinals are exercising the 2015 option on pitcher John Lackey. The 36-year-old right-hander will earn the league minimum 500-thousand-dollars after making 15.25-million each of the last three seasons. Lackey was acquired from Boston at the trade deadline and his contract had a clause allowing for a league-minimum option after missing the entire 2012 season due to elbow surgery.
