SEC Lines Up Nine Bowl Bids For 2014

The Southeastern Conference will have nine postseason bowl games for its teams beginning with the 2014 season. The deals extend for six years and coincide with the new College Football Playoff that starts that season. The Capital One Bowl will have the first pick. There is also a pool of six bowls comprised of renewals with the Outback Bowl, Music City Bowl, Gator Bowl and Liberty Bowl as well as new agreements with the Texas Bowl and Belk Bowl. The SEC is also renewing its relationship with the Birmingham Bowl and the Advocare V100 Bowl.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is 5-6 Freshman Basketball Player Cassidy Moss from St. Francis Borgia Regional High School in Washington. Cassidy was named the Most Valuable Player of the Sullivan Tournament last week and was an important part of Borgia's run to the title. She is averaging 15 points and 2.5 rebounds, more than three assists and two steals per game.
