Rays Double Up Cards

The Rays ended a three-game scoreless streak in their 6-3 win over the Cardinals at Tropicana Field yesterday. Yadier Molina was 2-for-5 with two RBI in the defeat. Michael Wacha fell to 4-and-5 allowing four runs on four walks and four hits in five innings. St. Louis had won its previous three games.

The Cardinals open up a 10-game homestand tomorrow night with the first of three games against the Washington Nationals at Busch Stadium. The Mets and Phillies will also come to town. Lance Lynn gets the ball tomorrow. He is 6-and-4 with a 3.49 ERA in 13 starts. The Nats will counter with Jordan Zimmermann,

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is 6-7 Junior Center Alex Movila from St. Francis Borgia Regional High School in Washington. He scored a combined 61-points in three games of the Borgia/Pepsi Thanksgiving Tournament last week. Alex led the team in all three games with 21 against Fatima in the first round and 16 in the second round against Carnahan and 24 against North Tech in the Gold Championship game.
