Rams Clip Cards To Open Year

Greg Zuerlein nailed a game-winning 48-yard field goal with 40 seconds left as the Rams clipped the Cardinals 27-24 at the Edward Jones Dome to open the season. Sam Bradford finished 27-of-38 for 299 yards with two touchdowns and an interception for the Rams, who outscored the Cards 14-0 in the fourth quarter for the win. Jared Cook had seven catches for 141 yards and two TD's in the victory. The Rams are at Atlanta on Sunday.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Washington Sophomore Guard Kyra Hardesty. Kyra scored 59 points in a game against Pacific leading the Lady Jays to an 85-80 overtime win over the Lady Indians. She shot 61% from the floor, hit 20-of-33 field goal attempts, seven of 11 beyond the arc and 12-of-15 free throws. For the season, Kyra is averaging 21.4 points, three rebounds, 3.72 assists and 2.24 steals per game.
