Mizzou Tops OK-State At Cotton Bowl

Henry Josey rushed for a 16-yard touchdown with just over three minutes to play as the Missouri Tigers held off the number-13 Oklahoma State Cowboys 41-31 in the Cotton Bowl from AT&T Stadium. The Pokes were in field goal range with under a minute to go but Shane Ray returned a fumble 73 yards for a touchdown to secure the "W." Josey ended with 92 yards and three rushing TDs for eighth-ranked Missouri, which closes the year at 12-and-2. James Franklin was 15-of-40 for 174 yards and an interception while Maty Mauk threw a touchdown in the win. Clint Chelf threw for 377 yards, two touchdowns and two picks for Oklahoma State, which ends the season at 10-and-3. He added 52 yards and a score on the ground while Desmond Roland also had a rushing touchdown in defeat.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is State Champion Wrestler Dalton Voyles from Pacific High School. Dalton won the class 3 title at 182 pounds with a 6-2 decision over Zach Courtoise of Kearney Saturday at the University of Missouri-Columbia. It caps off a tremendous season for Dalton with a 56-2 record. Dalton, who is very good on his feet, took control early in the bout in securing the win over Courtoise.

Paul Stastny netted the game-winner with 5:40 to play to give the Blues a 2-1 win over the Oilers at Rexall Place. Dmitrij Jaskin found the back of the net as well and Brian Elliot had 21 saves. The victory was St. Louis's fourth straight on the road. Ben Scrivens gave up both goals on 27 shots for Edmonton, which has dropped five of its last seven. Justin Schultz scored the Oilers' lone goal in the loss.
