Mizzou Learns SEC Basketball Slate

The Missouri Tigers will start their second season in Southeastern Conference play on January 8th by hosting the Georgia Bulldogs at Mizzou Arena. The SEC released its entire 2013-14 basketball schedule yesterday. Mizzou follows the home-opener with back-to-back road trips to Auburn and Vanderbilt. The Tigers will host Kentucky on February 1st in a nationally televised game on CBS. The entire schedule is available at MUTigers.com.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is 6-0 Senior Forward Megan Jensen with the St. Francis Borgia Girls Basketball Team. Megan scored 24 points leading Borgia to a 52-47 win over Cardinal Ritter in the championship game of the Borgia/Competitive Edge Tournament Saturday afternoon. In three tournament games last week. Megan scored 63 points and earned MVP honors.

Denver Bronco fans are celebrating their team's dominating 24-10 win over the Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl 50. Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning tells ABC's "Good Morning America" he celebrated late into the night. Manning lifted the Lombardi Trophy for the second time in his career in what might have been his final game. Manning turns 40 next month and is expected to retire.
