Missouri And Saint Louis In Action This Weekend

Laurence Bowers matched his career high with 23 points despite taking just one shot in the second half, leading No. 16 Missouri to an easy 72-56 victory over Appalachian State. The Tigers are 6-1.

Just a day after the death of their head coach Rick Majerus, the Saint Louis Billikens returned to the court to claim a 62-49 win over the Valparaiso Crusaders at Chaifetz Arena. Majerus left the team earlier in the season due to health concerns and he passed away on Saturday from a heart condition at the age of 64. Jim Crews has been serving as interim head coach.
