Lynn Sharp As Cards Cruise Past Reds

The Cardinals scored four times in the sixth inning to back six stellar frames from Lance Lynn in a 5-1 win over the Reds at Busch Stadium. Lynn struck out 10 while allowing just four hits and a walk for the win. Matt Adams' pinch-homer erased a 1-0 deficit for St. Louis. Allen Craig and Carlos Beltran also knocked in runs for the Redbirds.

The Cardinals and Reds play the rubber match of their three-game series this afternoon at Busch Stadium. First pitch is set for 12:45 p.m., with Jake Westbrook slated to oppose Homer Bailey. The Reds won Monday's opener 13-4 before the Cards bounced back last night to win 5-1. Cincinnati is 5-and-3, while St. Louis is 4-and-4.

On March 24, 2015, Lufthansa Airlines pilot Andreas Lubitz steered a planeful of passengers into the French Alps, killing 150 people in a grisly act of murder/suicide.

The logical first question the world is asking is why? We ask this not only to make some sort of rational sense out of the irrational act, but also so that we can try to prevent something like it from happening again.
