Class 4 District 9 at Pacific-Boys opening round games...
St. Clair beat Union 66-53 behind 23 points from Neyko Dominguez. Adam Brott added 10 and Brandon York chipped in nine. For Union, Seniors Brandon Ford scored 15 and Ashton Dehn added eight. The Wildcats end the season with a 6-19 record while the Bulldogs advance to the semifinal with a 13-13 mark.

In the other first round game, Sullivan took care of Owensville 34-25.

Class 5 District 10 at Rolla-Girls semifinals...
Kirstie Leslie hit the game winning basket with 2.1 seconds left lifting Washington to a 55-53 win over Rolla. Leslie finished the game with seven points. Courtney Kedroski led the way with 16 and Paige Carpenter added 12. Washington will play Waynesville in the championship game Thursday at 6:00. The top seeded Lady Tigers defeated Lebanon 62-33.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Gus Kleekamp with the Washington Post 218 Junior American Legion Baseball Team. Gus pitches, plays shortstop and bats third on the Junior Legion team that won the state championship in Blue Springs over the weekend. He posted the save in a 4-3 win over Festus in the title game. His batting average is .400 with 47-rbi and 47 runs scored. As a pitcher, he's 5-0 with an ERA of 1.631 and a WHIP of .961.

The Washington Seniors came back to life with a 14-2 route of Manchester Post 208 in the loser's bracket of the state tournament in Sedalia Friday afternoon. Matt Miller pitched a complete game for the win, as Washington improved to 35-4. The victory puts Post 218 in the championship game against Fike-Blue Springs today. Washington will need to beat Fike twice to win state.
