Bank of Old Monroe Tip-Off Classic at Winfield High School. North Tech beat Union 66-60 in the consolation final. Nick Ziegler scored 24 to lead the Wildcats with Brandon Ford pumping in 18. Sean Rigmaiden paced the Golden Eagles with 18 points. Union drops to 1-3 and North Tech Improves to 2-1.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Junior Running Back/Defensive Back Jonathan Braun with the St. Francis Borgia Knight Football Team. Braun ran the ball 21 times for 195 yards and two touchdowns in Friday night's 31-19 win over the Union Wildcats, averaging 9.3 yards per carry. He also plays defensive back where he made one tackle.

August 9, 2014, will forever be marked in the history books as the date Michael Brown was shot by a Ferguson police officer.

It is the aftermath of that event, however, which history will forever remember. The protesters, the looters, the agitators, the Hands Up Don't Shoot movement, the dramatic announcement of the grand jury, the buildings up in flames. In the process, the community and image of Ferguson was destroyed.
