Former Rams WR Smith Retires

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Steve Smith is calling it a career. He signed a one-year contract with the Bucs in April. Smith has been limited to just nine games each of the last three years due to knee problems. The 28-year-old USC product had just 14 catches for 131 yards last season with St. Louis. He has 245 career catches for 2,641 yards and 12 touchdowns in six seasons with the Giants, Eagles and Rams.
