Defending Champion Kentucky Falls In NIT Opener

Mike McFadden nailed two free throws with 8.7-seconds left as Robert Morris stunned defending national champion Kentucky 59-57 in the opening round of the National Invitational Tournament. Lucky Jones scored 15 points to pace the Colonials, who will meet either fourth-seeded Providence or number-five Charlotte in round two. Archie Goodwin scored 18 points for the Wildcats, who lost four of their final five games to finish the season 21-and-12.
