Cardinals Drop Braves

Matt Carpenter went 2-for-4 with two RBI as the Cardinals edged the Braves 4-3 in Atlanta last night. Shelby Miller allowed two runs over five innings to improve to 4-and-2 while Trevor Rosenthal survived a scare in the ninth for his ninth save. St. Louis has won three out of five.

The Cardinals continue their three-game series with the Braves in Atlanta tonight. Tyler Lyons takes the mound for St. Louis looking for his first win against two losses. The Braves counter with Gavin Floyd, who's making his 2014 debut. First pitch from Turner Field is set for 6:10.
