Cardinals Crush Reds In Rubber Match

The Cardinals hit four home runs and got a complete-game shutout from Jake Westbrook to beat the Reds 10-0 at Busch Stadium. Jon Jay, Carlos Beltran, Matt Adams and Matt Carpenter all reached the seats for the Redbirds, who took two-of-three from Cincinnati. Westbrook threw a five-hitter.

The Cardinals enjoy an off-day today. They open a three-game series tomorrow night against the division-rival Brewers at Busch Stadium. Shelby Miller is slated to oppose former Cardinal Kyle Lohse, who signed with Milwaukee just last month. The Brewers are off to a 2-and-6 start.
