Cardinals Clip Nationals

Carlos Beltran broke a two-all tie in the fifth inning with a two-run home run to give the Cardinals a 4-3 win over the Nationals at Busch Stadium. Adam Wainwright picked up his 18th win after giving up three runs in seven-plus innings. Trevor Rosenthal earned the save for St. Louis, which is two games up on Pittsburgh and Cincinnati in the NL Central. The Cards and Nats continue the series tonight.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is St. Francis Borgia Baseball Player Justin Horace. Justin is one of the team leaders at the plate with a .371 average, two home runs and 17 rbi. He bats third in the lineup and is a solid defender at second base. Justin had a double in Monday's 3-0 loss to Lutheran-St. Charles. Justin has been a good hitter since he started playing as a youngster.
