Blues Top Bruins In Shootout

The Blues slipped by the Boston Bruins 3-2 in an overtime shootout at TD Garden. Derek Roy scored once in regulation and again in the fourth round of the shootout to give St. Louis its fourth win in give games. Goaltender Jaroslav Halak stopped a whopping 27 shots in regulation, two more in overtime and three in the shootout. The Blues return home tomorrow night against the Dallas Stars.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Washington Softball Player Megan Micke. The Junior Shortstop had a terrific start to the season helping the Jays to a second place finish in the Union Tournament Saturday. In three games, Megan had 11 plate appearances, eight official at-bats, four hits, including a double, an rbi, a stolen base with six runs scored, three walks and two strike outs.

After an off-day Thursday, the Cardinals are back home tonight to host the Cubs in the first of a four-game series. Shelby Miller opposes Chicago's Kyle Hendricks on the hill. The teams will play a day-night doubleheader tomorrow and a single game on Sunday afternoon.
