Blues, Pietrangelo Agree To Seven-Year Deal

St. Louis Blues defenseman Alex Pietrangelo is ending his brief holdout from training camp after accepting a seven-year contract offer from the team on Friday. TSN of Canada reports the deal is worth 45.5-million-dollars, making him the Blues' highest-paid player. A restricted free agent, Pietrangelo missed the first three days of camp as the two sides attempted to negotiate a long-term contract. The 23-year-old had five goals and 19 assists in 47 games last season.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Junior Running Back/Defensive Back Jonathan Braun with the St. Francis Borgia Knight Football Team. Braun ran the ball 21 times for 195 yards and two touchdowns in Friday night's 31-19 win over the Union Wildcats, averaging 9.3 yards per carry. He also plays defensive back where he made one tackle.
