Blues To Face Avalanche Tonight

The Blues will take the ice tonight against the Colorado Avalanche. This is the fourth game of a five-game homestand for the 11-2-and-3 Blues. Left wing Alexander Steen will look to extend his league-leading 11-game point streak. St. Louis currently trails Colorado and Chicago by three points for first place in the Central Division.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is 6-3 Senior Guard Walton Eckelkamp of the St. Francis Borgia Basketball Team. Walton was the MVP of the Union Tournament last week. He scored 21 points in the championship leading Borgia to a 66-54 win over Columbia Rock Bridge. He hit four three's, dished out four assists and pulled down three rebounds.

The Blues ripped off three goals in the second period as they blitzed the Wild, 4-1 at the Scottrade Center. Vladimir Tarasenko scored his 26th goal of the year to start the scoring, with Jori Lehtera and Paul Stastny each adding goals in the second. Troy Brouwer added a goal in the third for St. Louis. Matt Dumba scored the lone goal for Minnesota, which has lost 10 of its past 11 games.
