Blues Blast Canadiens

Alexander Steen scored twice in a 3:35 span in the first period as the Blues went on to blast the Canadiens 5-1 at Scottrade Center. Chris Stewart also lit the lamp in the first, while Jaden Schwartz and Maxim Lapierre added goals in the third period for St. Louis, which snapped a two-game skid. Jaroslav Halak denied 25 of the 26 shots he faced in the victory.

After a season opening loss to Washington, Allison has helped St. Clair win four straight, which included the Clayton Tournament Championship. The Sharks tied the game on Marc-Edouard Vlasic's goal with 20.6 seconds remaining in regulation and the goaltender pulled, then skated 4-on-3 thanks to Alexander Steen's tripping infraction with 2:03 remaining in overtime.
