Blues Blank Wild For Sixth Straight Win

Brian Elliott recorded 23 saves to notch his third consecutive shutout and 21st of his career, as the Blues blanked the Wild 2-0 at Xcel Energy Center. Elliott has not given up a goal in over 189 minutes. He went more than 241 scoreless minutes last season to set the club record. Roman Polak scored his first goal in over two years midway through the first period. Andy McDonald added a tally in the third for the Blues, who have won six straight. The Blues are at Columbus tonight.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Junior Running Back/Defensive Back Jonathan Braun with the St. Francis Borgia Knight Football Team. Braun ran the ball 21 times for 195 yards and two touchdowns in Friday night's 31-19 win over the Union Wildcats, averaging 9.3 yards per carry. He also plays defensive back where he made one tackle.
