Blues Blank Flames

Jaroslav Halak stopped 33 shots as the Blues dominated the Flames 5-0 at the Scotiabank Saddledome. Five different players scored goals for St. Louis including Chris Stewart and Vladimir Tarasenko tallying their 15th goals of the season. Vladimir Sobotka, Ian Cole and Alex Pietrangelo also lit the lamp. The Blues have won seven straight and are at Vancouver tonight.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Junior Running Back/Defensive Back Jonathan Braun with the St. Francis Borgia Knight Football Team. Braun ran the ball 21 times for 195 yards and two touchdowns in Friday night's 31-19 win over the Union Wildcats, averaging 9.3 yards per carry. He also plays defensive back where he made one tackle.

August 9, 2014, will forever be marked in the history books as the date Michael Brown was shot by a Ferguson police officer.

It is the aftermath of that event, however, which history will forever remember. The protesters, the looters, the agitators, the Hands Up Don't Shoot movement, the dramatic announcement of the grand jury, the buildings up in flames. In the process, the community and image of Ferguson was destroyed.
