Blues Beat Blackhawks In Triple OT

Alexander Steen found the back of the net less than 30 seconds into the third overtime to lift the Blues to a 4-3 win over the Blackhawks in their Western Conference First Round series. Jaden Schwartz tied the game at three with 1:45 left in regulation for St. Louis, which takes a 1-0 series lead in the best-of-seven set. Ryan Miller allowed three goals on 42 shots for the win. Game Two is Saturday in St. Louis.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Senior Baseball Player Kyle Ruediger from New Haven High School. At the plate, Kyle has a team leading .486 average with 14 rbi, two triples and six doubles. He has struck out just five times while drawing 11 walks. Kyle has seven stolen bases on the year. He plans to attend the University of Missouri-Columbia.
