Big East Ok's Catholic 7

The Big East Conference will be moving forward without seven basketball members. ESPN reports the conference will announce today that it has reached a deal with the newly formed Catholic 7. DePaul, Georgetown, Marquette, Providence, Seton Hall, St. John's and Villanova will keep the Big East naming rights and play its conference tournament at Madison Square Garden.

The seven schools will leave June 30th and start its new conference July 1st. Butler, Creighton and Xavier are expected to join for the 2013-14 season. Saint Louis and Dayton are also possible members for the 2014-15 season to bring the membership to 12.
