The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Sullivan Baseball Player Matt Foster. Foster has a batting average of .640, the highest in the St. Louis metropolitan area. On base percentage is .735 with a slugging percentage of .840. He also has five runs batted in and he leads the team in runs scored with 11. He's also walked eight times, has one stolen base and has struck out just one time. Matt had two hits with three batted in and two walks in a 16-0 win over New Haven Monday afternoon. He also pitched an inning. Matt would like to play college baseball. He has another year of high school and Coach Mike Carmi says Matt has the talent to play at the next level.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Freshman Cross Country Runner Julia McIntyre from New Haven High School. Julia finished sixth in the state meet in Jefferson City with a time of 20:58.40 at the Oak Hills Golf Course in Jefferson City earlier this month. She helped her team to a 12th place finish. Julia was a straight A student at Franklin County R-2 and she continues to get A's in high school.

Scottie Upshall scored the game-winning goal early in the third period to help the Blues slip by the Blue Jackets 3-1 at the Scottrade Center. Vladimir Tarasenko added his 14th goal of the season and Jake Allen made 23 saves to earn the win for St. Louis, which improved to 15-6-and-3. Ryan Johansen tallied the lone goal for Columbus, which had won two straight. Sergei Bobrovsky stopped 29 of 31 shots in the loss.
