Brad Carpenter

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Senior Golfer Brad Carpenter from Washington High School. In a recent match against Fort Zumwalt South at Wolf Hollow, Brad carded a six under par 29 to lead the team to a 148-176 win over the Bulldogs. Brad will attend Missouri State University in Springfield on a golf and academic scholarship. He started playing golf at the age of 12 and developed an immediate love for the game. Brad is accurate off the tee and rarely misses a green, but one part of his game that needs to improve is his putting, which he works on daily. Brad taught himself how to play and didn't take his first lesson until his second year of high school. His goal is to win state this year. Brad took first place in the Battle of the Bulldog at WingHaven Wednesday with a 2-under 70.

Thomas Jefferson, proponent of the Bill of Rights, could never have conceived just how many venues there are today for First-Amendment protected speech.

What he also could not have conceived is how this phenomenon of pervasive media has actually stymied, not enhanced, the free speech expression of presidential candidates.
