Austin Repp

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Senior Wrestler Austin Repp from Pacific High School. Austin is the defending state champion at 170 pounds. He currently holds three records at Pacific for career wins, pins and team points. His career record is 169-15. Austin is currently ranked 24th in the nation, according to USA Wrestling. He plans to wrestle in college but hasn't selected a school. You may see Austin in the coaching ranks in the future. Coach Rob Schimsa says Austin is a good communicator and is always willing to help other wrestlers who are learning the sport. Austin is a good student as well. GPA 4.0.

The KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week is Senior Golfer Brad Carpenter from Washington High School. In a recent match against Fort Zumwalt South at Wolf Hollow, Brad carded a six under par 29 to lead the team to a 148-176 win over the Bulldogs. Brad will attend Missouri State University in Springfield on a golf and academic scholarship. He started playing golf at the age of 12 and developed an immediate love for the game.

The East Central College softball game vs. Three Rivers today April 15 has been cancelled due to field conditions. The “Stuff the Stands” event has been moved to Thursday, April 17 vs. St. Louis Community College. Come out and show your “Falcon Pride” as the ECC Falcons look to take down the STLCC Archers. The first 100 fans will receive a blue “Stuff the Stands” T-shirt along with free hot dogs and soda.
