Union Teens Caught Breaking Into Vehicles

Two Union area teenagers are in hot water with law enforcement following several reports of breaking into vehicles. The Sheriff’s Office says the reports surfaced in the Twin Lakes subdivision of Highway BB west of Union. The investigation led to two 14 year old suspects who admitted to stealing property from vehicles over the past several months. Officials say most of the vehicles were left unlocked; however some were parked in unsecure garages of homes. Deputies recovered a stolen handgun and other property. The investigation will continue as officials look for additional victims and property. The teens have been turned over to the Franklin County Juvenile Office.
