Union Police Looking for Suspect in String of Burglaries

The Union Police Department has one suspect in custody and are currently looking for another following an extensive theft investigation. Over the past few days, 20 year old Jacob Donius and 21 year old Justin Mitchalk have been breaking into local union business and homes. After yesterdays break–in at The North Side Quick Stop Union Police reviewed surveillance video and identified the two men. Thursday afternoon the two suspects were located at a residence in the 600 block of North Washington. When police moved in, the two suspects fled westbound toward the Union Swimplex. During the chase Donius was arrested and a backpack, containing numerous stolen items, from the recent home invasions and break-ins were recovered, as well as other items which were later identified by other victims. Justin Mitchalk eluded officers after an extensive foot chase, followed by a search in areas in the northern part of Union between Potomac court and Independence Dr. If anyone knows of the whereabouts of Justin Mitchalk, you are encouraged to contact the Union Police Department at 636-583-3700 or the Franklin County Sheriff's Department.
