Union Police are Searching for a Shoplifting Suspect

Union Police are searching for a shoplifting suspect. A Wal-Mart security guard attempted to stop a 28-year-old woman from Labadie after noticing the woman concealed several items in two purses. When the suspect was confronted, she fled toward highway 50 and dropped a gallon of milk but held on to the stolen items. The suspect’s vehicle information was obtained by Union Police and was later stopped by sheriff’s deputies near Hwy. 44 and Gray Summit. The woman was not located at the time of the stop but personal items belonging to the suspect were found and secured as evidence. The suspect has prior encounters with law enforcement and active warrants for her arrest.
